Forgiveness | A Path to Inner Peace
Some people believe that those who choose to forgive are displaying weakness, labeling them as fools for letting go or given in. It is important to recognize that forgiveness is the beginning of our healing, reflects inner strength and courage. Yes, courage… the courage to confront our pain and let go of the burden it carries. Besides, “What are you going to do carrying around all that anger, pain, resentment, or grudges?” It will only turn you into a bitter and unhappy person, feeling miserable all the time. It also affects and hurts you spiritually.

Embracing God’s Grace
Embracing God’s grace is a journey that invites us to reflect deeply on forgiveness and healing. Many find comfort in Christian devotionals or daily scripture books . I, personally read “Jesus Calling” as my daily devotional book , it emphasize the power of forgiveness. It’s important to remember that every time we allow someone to provoke anger within us, we give them more power over our emotions. By choosing peace, we reclaim our own strength—an invaluable gift that brings inner peace.
For some, reading books on self-forgiveness and spiritual healing can be transformative. Others may find solace in carrying religious jewelry or prayer beads, symbols of renewal and forgiveness that serve as constant reminders of their faith journey. Whatever helps you overcome obstacles and heal is valid; it’s all part of the process.
Forgiveness: How God Works in My Life
I include prayer inside meditation every morning during sunrise, I grew up catholic, so I recite the rosary or just listen to the rosary and meditate on the mysteries. It helps me grow in grace while it strengthens my spirit, allows room for peace – releasing pain through faith. Healing the spirit allows us not only to live harmoniously but also opens the door to true happiness. Remember, God’s love acts as a shield—one that protects me from harm and negativity. Embracing this love enables me to navigate life’s challenges with grace and resilience, ultimately leading us toward a more peaceful existence filled with joy.
I respectfully honor and value everyone’s beliefs and religions. I can only express and write about what helps me and aligns with my own beliefs. Each of us has our unique spiritual path, and I encourage you to follow what resonates with you. Do as your beliefs guide you, and may we all find peace and understanding in our journeys.
Forgiving Others and Forgiving Yourself
When you forgive someone, that doesn’t mean you accept their behavior, it means you are letting go and are ready to move forward, why? because you LOVE YOURSELF! Therefore, you wish not to carry around that weight any more. We have all made mistakes, when we think about our mistakes over and over, we will suffer mentally. It is like scratching and old wound; we don’t allow it to heal. You are mentally trapped in a place of your past. Forgive yourself, and move on. You need to let go of the past, in order to enjoy new blessings. Make room for new ideas, more memories, and happiness will flow. There is a saying that goes ” You only live once”. I disagree, I say ” You LIVE every day, you only die ONCE”. Start with gratitude, and live your life to the fullest. YOU GOT THIS!
“To forgive is to set a prisoner free and discover that the prisoner was you.” – Lewis B. Smedes
