Life Is a Train Ride: Every Stop Tells a Story
I have always said life is a journey, a long, train ride filled with stories, soul lessons, and countless stops that shape who we become. Each station invites us to pause, reflect, learn, and discover new meaning in the moments that challenge and grow us. With every mile, we build strength, deepen faith, and gather the wisdom needed for the path ahead.
Look at life like a train trip, and every day that we live is a different season. Many of them full of laughter and hope. Others, on the other hand, covered by the cry of sadness that do not let us see the light at the end of the tunnel. And there will also be seasons where the road becomes uphill, where it seems that the clock moves slower. And even with that, the train of life follows its course between mountains and valleys, between large cities and between burning deserts. Through the window we see each stage of our life pass, those first years of life, when you just learned to walk. Then comes childhood, then youth, then maturity, and every day of hard work. And maybe we will want to take a long break in one of those landscapes, but the train moves forward and does not stop for a long time. Each season has its established time and reminds us with each dawn that life and every day lived is a unique, unrepeatable gift. “Every day, is a holy day.”
That is why we take “time” for granted. We look back and realize that the calendar was passing its pages faster than we imagined. We did not realize, at what moment the children grew up so fast. Everything has remained in the memory, those games in the park, those afternoons watching movies, those laughs that filled the house running from one side to the other. Everything seemed to have been just yesterday and we did not notice at what moment everything became so fleeting. Also, this long journey on a train called life will remind us that some people so dear will not always be sitting next to us. They will take their suitcases and get off leaving a great emptiness that will stay with us forever. But the most important thing is that each one will leave their own mark in our life and in our memory. Some other people will get off to take another train that goes to another destination. And there will be stations where we will meet people who will get on this train to be by our side.
That is why it is important to live to the fullest each stage of our life. That why it is important to be grateful for all the blessings given by God and above all understand, that every day, every moment, every second is unique and does not come back. Therefore, in this journey of life, let us do good things, let us grow values that become footprints that time does not erase. Let us spread love that multiplies from person to person. Let us show kindness that extends beyond our hands.
And one day, we will all reach that final stop, the one that takes us home – a place called HEAVEN. When that moment comes, will we be ready? What did we build, heal, give, love, forgive or become during this lifetime’s journey? The good news is that every new breath is a new chance. Start now. Start today. Let your journey from this moment forward be lived with purpose, gratitude, and grace. And at the end of the journey, before getting off at a station, let our greatest satisfaction be knowing that we gave the best of ourselves.
